Money Transfer / Payments Assistant

Responsibilities:

Prompt response and answering of queries in a professional and efficient manner. All queries and knowledge required during calls/emails to be logged real time on customer database
Require a full understanding of the respective money transfer service and provide information on queries regarding transfers in a prompt manner
Prepare daily exchange rates with due attention to detail and acquire an understanding of the Foreign Exchange environment
Maintain respective daily foreign exchange spreadsheets under supervision of line manager; Undertake daily tasks as assigned to assist payments department with meeting daily payment reporting timetables
Ensure all payment details are fully checked and accounts are properly funded before authorizing transfers.
Liaise with banks regarding payment traces and amendments and organize correspondence effectively in order to recall information quickly and easily
Provide assistance to other treasury department members when required
Ensure the company's internal controls and policies pertaining to the Money Transfer services are adhered to at all times
Ensure all policies regarding adherence to Anti Money Laundering policies and procedures are completely understood and adhered to
Liaise daily with overseas team members in an effective manner.
